Beginners watercolours – Abstract florals

$155.00 per person (includes take home kit)

Learn to paint beautiful, abstract watercolour floral art with Samone. Using real florals as inspiration, as well as photographic and picture references, Samone will teach you all the basics of watercolour – how to get the paint flowing from your paint palette to the paper, how to hold your brush and make simple brush strokes to compose botanical and floral shapes, basic colour theory and value, and composition of an artwork.

Painting from observation, you will take home a finished watercolour painting ready to display in your home. You will also get a pack including your own set of paints, brushes, paper and paint palette, as well as a handy workbook filled with tips and tricks from the class, so you can continue to evolve your style and practice at home.

Samone is a local graphic artist and illustrator, who has been painting as long as she remembers. With a love of bright bold colour, her style is quite fluid and expressive, with florals and botanicals a standout theme of her work. She loves to combine illustration and watercolour art with great design, and often pairs her art with logo and brand design, wedding stationery design, and surface pattern design.
